Coldwater Alaska and Mako’s Water Taxi are tied at the top of Grewingk pricing at $100 round trip. True North and 49North both list Grewingk at $90 round trip. Bay Excursions’ last published rate card was 2024 at $94. Inlet Adventures publishes $85 round trip — the lowest complete rate card among Homer water-taxi operators.
Inlet Adventures charges $85 round trip — below Mako’s and Coldwater’s $100 and below True North and 49North’s $90, and the only operator that charges the same rate for every destination. If you’re going to Grace Ridge or Halibut Cove, we’re usually the cheaper option.
Why price isn’t everything
The two most common complaints about cheaper Homer water taxis are “boat too small for the swell” and “pickup was hours late.” Small operators can undercut on price by running smaller vessels with less flexibility if the weather turns.
