Testimonials

Stories from the Trail

Hikers who've made the journey across Kachemak Bay with us.

"The boat ride over from The Spit to the glacier lake trailhead was amazing. Such a great boat that feels steady, safe and relaxing as there are multiple seats and spaces to be on the boat. This is a great boat to go with a few friends or a larger group because you can talk to each other fairly easily as you take the trip over. The glacier hike trail was a super easy 3 miles, up fairly flat most of the way, and opens onto a breathtaking view of the lake and glacier."

Sky

"We had an incredible experience with Inlet Express! Colter was an amazing captain with incredible knowledge of the land and water. He made the experience even more special by sharing his knowledge of the area along the way. The boat was perfect for our trip to the glacier — it was easy to get on and off for our hike, and there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The large windows gave us beautiful 360-degree views of the breathtaking scenery around Homer and Kachemak Bay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Inlet Express and Colter to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Homer from the water!"

A

Amanda

"As locals, we've ridden on quite a few water taxis over the years, and Inlet Adventures was our favorite by far. We used them for transportation to our Glacier Spit to Saddle Trail hike, and the experience was exceptional! The captain was knowledgeable, friendly, and capable. His deckhand was helpful, and they were both great with our three young kids. They got us there and picked us up right on time. Trust a local's opinion and book Inlet Adventures for all your water taxi and transportation needs!"

C

Cat

"Amazing and timely bay taxi! It has the capacity for 28 and was as smooth as silk. Colter expedited us to Peterson Bay Ocean and Sea Life Center dock with its precarious tidal lagoon without a hitch and picked us up on the beach with his landing craft at low tide. Excellent and proficient service! Thank you!!"
