This is a new visitors favorite! Ride along with us as we take clients to their favorite spots in Kachemak Bay. Experience the busy Homer Harbor, get close to all the bay has to offer while experiencing grand vistas of the surrounding glaciers and mountains. This tour takes you on a one to one and one half hour excursion and we often have time on the way back to slow for seals or Puffins or the occasional whales. On Kachemak Bay size matters when it comes to comfort and safety. Our USCG certified vessel is 49' long and comes fully equipped with all of the safety features and gear to get you there and back comfortably. We provide a snack bar with free coffee, a bathroom and a heated cabin.

Most of our tours and transportation are $85 round trip per person. The Jakolof Bay Ferry is $42.50 each way. On some destinations we must add Kachemak Bay State Park fees as well as taxes and other fees. We look forward to serving you!

What to expect on each of our four adventures.
Board our vessel at Homer Harbor on the iconic Homer Spit. The 15-minute ride across Kachemak Bay offers sweeping views of the Kenai Mountains, Gull Island, and the jagged peaks of the park. Keep an eye out for otters, whales, and puffins along the way.
We drop you at the Glacier Spit landing beach. The trail begins in dense Sitka spruce and cottonwood forest, winding along the coast before climbing gently toward the lake. The easy, scenic start to your glacier adventure.
The forest opens to reveal Grewingk Lake — a striking turquoise basin filled with floating icebergs calved from the glacier above. You'll have time to explore the shoreline, photograph the ice, and stand in awe of the glacier face. This is the heart of your day.
Continue along the Saddle Trail — a short climb over the forested ridge — to our pickup point at the Saddle Trail beach. Kick back on the rocks while you wait for the boat, then enjoy a scenic ride back to Homer Harbor as the afternoon light paints the bay.
Board the M/V Inlet Express at Homer Harbor for the scenic crossing to the south side of Kachemak Bay. The ride offers beautiful views of the Kenai Mountains and frequent wildlife sightings along the way.
We drop you at Quarry Beach, a rugged and remote landing spot on the south shore. From here the Grace Ridge trailhead is a short walk from the beach. This is where the adventure truly begins.
The trail climbs steeply through dense alder and spruce before breaking above treeline. This is a challenging hike with significant elevation gain, but every step reveals more of the bay below. Pace yourself and bring plenty of water.
Above treeline the ridge opens to sweeping 360-degree vistas of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai Mountains, and distant glaciers. On a clear day you can see across the entire bay to Homer and beyond. Savor the accomplishment — then enjoy a scenic boat ride back to Homer.
Board the M/V Inlet Express for the scenic cruise south across Kachemak Bay. The ride to Jakolof Bay takes you past Gull Island and along the rugged south shore, with chances to spot sea otters, whales, and seabirds along the way.
Jakolof Bay is a remote and beautiful destination on the south shore of Kachemak Bay. Whether you are here to hike, berry pick, walk the beaches, or tide pool, this pristine bay offers something for everyone. Numerous accommodations are available for those who wish to stay overnight.

Grewingk Glacier is only reachable by boat. Inlet Adventures runs the M/V Inlet Express from Homer Harbor across Kachemak Bay to the Glacier Spit trailhead, where you hike in to Grewingk Glacier Lake and are picked up on the return at the Saddle Trail terminus.

Yes. The Grewingk Glacier / Lake route is rated easy to moderate and is our most popular trip. If you're looking for more of a challenge, the Grace Ridge trail is rated difficult, with steep climbs and panoramic views of Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountains.
